The Stowe Township Police Department is the primary law enforcement entity of Stowe Township, a first-class township in the southwestern area of Pennsylvania in Allegheny County. The Police Department is dedicated to the safety and service of the community and its citizenry. Its primary goal is to provide the police services of criminal suppression and prosecution through investigation, patrol and pro-active law enforcement as well as public safety and assistance to the citizens of Stowe Township through its traffic enforcement and investigation and community involvement. Our duty is your welfare.

Please support our police department by reporting any suspicious behavior in your neighborhood, report the information by calling 911. You may elect to remain anonymous.

Solicitor Permits

Anyone Soliciting within Stowe Township, is REQUIRED to apply and have a permit from the Township Secretary and Background Check by Police Department. Permit and ID are REQUIRED to be shown to anyone when asked to verify that they have a permit for Stowe Township. If NOT please contact 911 and police will come and verify. If possible, please give description of person(s) and/or if seen using a vehicle the make, model, color and plate number, state issued.

Animal Ordinance

All dogs are to be firmly attached to leash or chain not to exceed six (6) feet in length. It shall be unlawful for the owner or person walking of any dog(s) to allow or permit such dog(s) to run at large. All animal waste must be immediately disposed of in a sanitary manner. All dog(s) must be licensed and vaccinated. Allegheny County Treasurer's Office, Monday thru Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, 412-350-4111. Pennsylvania Child Protective Services Law Required Clearances

Pennsylvania State Police Report - Cost is $10 and can be obtained online by visiting the State Police website. You should receive your certification instantly. Rember to save and/or print certificate. Find the form at https://epatch.state.pa.us/.

Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Report - Cost is $10 and can be obtained online. The certification will be emailed to you within 14 days. Find form at https://www.compass.state.pa.us/cwis/public/home.

FBI Criminal Background Check - The cost for fingerprinting service can vary. The link below will take you online to register for fingerprinting.
