Tax Collection Notice

Jordan Tax Services will be at the Stowe Township Municipal Building to collect taxes on the following dates and times:

  • April 26th – 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm 
  • April 28th – 9:00 am to 12:00 pm 

We’re Hiring: Part-time Deputy Ordinance Officer

The Deputy Ordinance Officer reports to the Ordinance Officer to ensure all Township residents follow Township ordinances with a specific focus on municipal trash and waste. Canvases Township areas daily for violations of Township ordinances, represent Township at all violators hearings, and attend all local magistrate and court hearings. Will assist in collecting delinquent garbage to include follow-up with magistrate if needed. Work closely with Township Commissioners other Township departments as required.

Job Title: Deputy Ordinance Officer
Schedule: 25 hours per week, Monday – Friday
Pay: $15.00 per hour

Stowe Township Public Works Summer Help Wanted

Stowe Township is seeking applicants for summer positions within the Department of Public Works. The positions will be available to work from May until September at a rate of pay of $10.00 per hour, no other benefits. Schedule would be Monday-Friday from 7am-3pm daily. Interested applicants should pick up an employment application at the Stowe Township Municipal Building located at 555 Broadway Ave, McKees Rocks, Pa 15136 Monday-Friday from the hours of 9am-4pm. Application deadline is Saturday April 30th.

Ordinance Proposal: Fire Department Insurance Billing and Reimbursement

Stowe Township is proposing an ordinance that will authorize the Fire Department to collect reasonable costs associated from certain incidents of emergency responses from an identified insurance carrier because it will ensure the health safety and welfare of the residents of Stowe Township.

The Fire Department will not refuse or delay any rescue service to any person, firm, organization, or corporation, due to the lack of insurance coverage or ability to pay for said rescue services.
